The Eggert family opened their organic dairy farm to about 80 visitors recently to give the visitors the opportunity to get a hands-on farm experience and raise money for Trek4Kidz.
While supporting the Starlight Children’s Foundation initiative, farm-goers also learnt more about the production of organic milk and eggs and enjoyed interacting with the farm’s multitude of animals.
Over $1200 was raised for the cause.
The Eggert family said it was likely that farm visit days will be held again in October as part of the Tastings of the Hastings.
