Volunteers make history

The Port Macquarie Historical Society marked National Volunteers Week with a volunteering information morning and a thank you lunch for its band of volunteers last week.
The information morning attracted several new volunteers who were treated to morning tea, a chat about volunteering opportunities and then a museum tour including back of house areas.
About half of the society’s 60 volunteers attended a thank you lunch held at Port City Bowling Club also.
Volunteer Camilla Rayner was awarded a certificate of appreciation at the lunch in recognition of her efforts over the past year.
