When it comes to half-time entertainment, you couldn’t get much cuter than a performance by seven pink butterfly ballerinas.
The two- and three-year-olds who make up a dance group appropriately named the Tiny Tutus put on a magnificent performance in front of around 60 guests at Park Lands Village, Port Macquarie.
Sales administrator Alyson Pike said that the Village conducted a tour of the Village twice a year, where prospective residents could get a feel of life within the village.
“It is just wonderful to see the smiles on the faces of everyone that witnessed the kids’ performance,” said Ms Pike. “I can’t think of a better way to share some morning tea,” she added.
The dance troop incor-porating Stella Dunn, Ruby Rebell, Chloe Kapila, Imogen Thompson, Amelia Southwell, Bailey Speechly and Maya Perry were led by the expertise of dance teacher Brianna Rankin.
It was obvious from the look on Ms Rankin’s face, both during the performance and after, that she gets just as much from working with these little treasures as they get from her.
Another very proud member of the audience was Brad Thompson, father of Imogen.
“It was awesome to see Imogen on the big stage,” he said. “She’s normally very reserved so she did very well and I couldn’t be prouder.”
Prospective resident Mary Ford, who is 77 years young, described the performance as “Absolutely wonderful”, whilst 82-year-old Lorna Thompson said, “I thought they were great” and added “I wouldn’t have thought they could teach such little kids this type of thing.”
