Local teenager Harry Jones has been dubbed one of the up and coming stars in Port Macquarie and, with the help of a local business sponsor, he has had the manpower to generate enormous success within the Olympic and sprint distance races in the past year.Harry has come a long way in the three years he has been into triathlon, with the help of Smarter Financial & Insurance Solutions.Coming from a running background, he has taken top spots in cross country and athletics. Starting at the age of 14, Harry has truly made a name for himself in running. On June 11, the teen competed in the Macleay River Marathon Festival, running the 10km event. He blitzed the field, knowing, Harry said, that he was going to win the race after the 6km mark. Harry has competed in this event for the past four years.After gaining fourth, third, and second placings, Harry was stoked to cross the line first this year.“We hope to help push Harry further with his training over the next few years and wish him all the luck for his future events,” said local business sponsor Lee from Smarter Financial & Insurance Solutions.
