Two finance gurus in Port Macquarie are in the running for a top national award.
The Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) has announced John Minihan, the Business Development Manager of Professional Finance Mortgage Brokers, and Peter Nest, the Director of Affinity Finance Broking, among the finalists for the industry’s eighth annual MFAA Excellence Awards.
This is John’s second year as an MFAA finalist, nominated in the highly competitive 2011 MFAA Excellence Award Finance Broker of the Year category.
“I am honoured to have been recognised by my industry peers and to have been selected from all the nominees across the country and named as a finalist for this Award,” said John.
The last year has been full of changes and challenges for the home lending market, but John has been able to stay ahead of the pack due to his commitment to and expertise in the lending market and the team of mortgage brokers in his Peachtree Walk Arcade business.
“I appreciate it is a difficult lending environment at the moment, however, I believe that we take the time to understand our clients’ needs, undertake the appropriate research and then provide them with a range of options in a professional manner,” he said.
“I do believe we make the lending process much easier, with a lot more choices and make it a lot less stressful.”
The MFAA Excellence Awards are the most rigorous in the Australian mortgage and finance industry and are judged by an independent panel of business professionals and experts.
“The MFAA has acknowledged forty-four 2011 MFAA Excellence Awards finalists who have been judged on and rewarded for consistently demonstrating their professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, innovation and role-model value,” said Phil Naylor, CEO, MFAA.
“John’s continued innovation, growth and success in the industry is to be commended. To be recognised as a finalist speaks volumes of their exceptional practice and professionalism in mortgage and finance industry.”
Port’s Peter Nest has also made the MFAA Excellence Awards’ grade.
This is Peter’s sixth consecutive year as an MFAA finalist, nominated in the highly competitive 2011 MFAA Excellence Award Finance Broker of the Year category.
Peter has been the winner of this Category on the past five occasions and is this year going for six straight wins, if he is successful it will be an extraordinary effort never before achieved in any Category.
The winners will be announced at the MFAA Excellence Awards Presentation Dinner on March 4, 2011 at the Crown Towers, Melbourne. This is a very special occasion where industry professionals have the opportunity to celebrate excellence.
