THE Port Macquarie Independent has a new reporter on the ground.
Matt Nicholls officially joined the team this week after previously working casually for the Independent.
He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked at newspapers all over the country.
Matt has also worked in a number of different roles, including editor, sub-editor, sports editor and senior journalist.
“I have only just arrived in Port Macquarie, but I can already tell it’s a great city with a lot of stories to tell,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to meeting people from all parts of the community and the surrounding district.”
