The launch of the new iPhone 5 had many Port Macquarie Apple fans setting their alarm clocks earlier than normal.
For 15-year-old St. Columba student Josh Chambers not only was he first in the queue but he was also awarded the red carpet treatment from Teale Bryan and the crew from the Telstra Shop in Port Central for his dedication.
“When I turned up at Port Central it was closed so I waited until I could wave down a security guard that let me in at 5.30am,” said Chambers.
“I was stoked to find out I was first in line and then to find I was going to be taken to breaky in a limo was really cool.”
Chambers who is a self confessed apple fanatic admitted that he had no idea what features the new device would have but just knew he had to have it.
Teale Bryan from the Telstra Shop said that he wanted to do something special to surprise the first customer.
“No one knew about the limo or breakfast so it was really nice to see the smile on the young fella’s face when we dressed him up and told him what we had planned.”
