SOMBREROS and ponchos replaced uniforms at Port Macquarie High School last week.
The student representative council held a Mexican Day for students and staff to raise money.
Students donated a gold coin for the privilege of wearing Mexican attire for the day, while teachers also got in on the act.
At lunchtime the SRC served Mexican food and music students performed Mexican music for an appreciative audience.
The most authentic Mexicans on the day were the “three amigos” Nathan Drain, Jack Kennedy and Jordan Hanimair.
