Christmas message from State member

Santa Paws? Member for Tweed Geoff Provest and friend! Yep that's him under the beard!!

TWEED Nationals MP Geoff Provest became Father Christmas on Sunday as he spent the day sitting for Santa photos with Tweed dog owners to raise money for Friends of the Pound Tweed’s Christmas appeal.
“Christmas is a busy and expensive time for Friends of the Pound – it is cat breeding season and sadly some people still make surprise pet gifts which are sometimes soon abandoned,” Mr Provest said.
The MP encouraged local dog owners to have a photo taken with their pet and Santa at 100% for Pets between 10am and 2pm on the Saturday and Sunday before Christmas.
“All profits go towards rehoming abandoned pets and subsidising pet de-sexing for low income pet owners.”
“Friends of the Pound is just one of many volunteer groups working hard over the holiday season to make the Tweed a better and safer place.”
“As Parliamentary Secretary for Police and Emergency Services, I would especially like to thank the police officers who keep our roads safe as well as all emergency services professionals and volunteers.”
“It would not be Christmas without them,” Mr Provest concluded.
