Goodbye and thankyou

By TANIA PHILLIPS

AFTER almost three years as the Tweed Coast Weekly (and several years as the Tweed Weekly) our little paper will cease to be from this week.
This is our last issue ever and I would like to take the opportunity to say thankyou to everyone who has supported and helped produce this brilliant and unique local voice for the Tweed Coast.
Thankyou all our loyal advertisers and supporters, particularly to the wonderful Tweed Bowls Club who has supported us faithfully from our early days right through our change to the Tweed Coast Weekly until the end.
I would personally like to thank all the contributors including Terry Teece, David Solano, Jayne Henry, Ray Fiens, Richard Phillip, Graeme Lawrence, Peter Luc, Judith Tuckey, John Hurd and the brilliant Hank Thompson who have allowed us to put out an ultra local paper that has serviced the needs of our wonderful Tweed Coast community.
As a long-time resident of the area I have been heartened at the way my community became our readers – you are all brilliant and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting us be your voice and record all facets of your lives over the past three years – and for taking us from “which one are you” to “Oh I love that paper”.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank you and wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Tania Phillips,
Editor.
On behalf of our brilliant staff Michelle Feruglio, Greg Pilling, Erin Ransley, Simon Kerr, Chendelle Kolasa and Emily Broome – and all the other amazing people who have worked with us along the way.
