The beautiful Comboyne Plateau, with its rolling mountaintop pastures, will be the backdrop for several sights indeed – some of Australia’s most powerful politicians harnessed in buggies to mad mountain goats, racing down a track, keen to win but keener still to survive.
For 75 years people who appreciate country food, fun and friendship have been coming to the Comboyne Agricultural Show – and it’s on again this year from 9am on Saturday, March 3.
As well as the world famous Comboyne Goat Races, all the old favourites will be back:
â— Poultry and produce pavilions
â— Country kitchen “High Tea’ at the Luncheon Pavilion
â— BBQ and the Billabong Bar open from 11am
â— Championship Dog Show
â— Troppo Bob’s Magic Show
â— Bago Drovers Band
â— Rides, stalls and a major raffle sponsored by Essential Energy
Your entry ticket entitles you to come back free on Sunday, March 4 to see the horses in action at the Comboyne Equestrian Show, commencing at 8am.
Free for kids 16 and under, and just $10 a head for big kids and adults, the Comboyne Show gives you bang for your buck – especially if you “buy’ a winning goat to scoop a cash jackpot.
