Music industry professionals, press, recording agents and the public throughout Northern QLD have given all their support to local Mackay Band “Chasing the Jeffrey”.
And now they are heading to Port Macquarie. On May 10 and 11 they will be playing at the Port Macquarie Hotel and on May 12 they will be heading to Tacking Point Tavern.
Having released their first debut self titled album last month and have now launched their second single “underdog” which hit the Triple J Unearthed Rock Chart at #12 these guys are set to take Australia by storm.
This music will have you leaving the performance wanting more.
Time on the road has become a way of life for the four piece band from Mackay North Queensland, sharing hotel rooms, sleeping in cars and bars, setting up and packing down their own show over and over for what they describe to be the Ultimate reward- Applause. This being in their own words “The reason we do it all”.
The band has a lot of fun with their stage show, with bass guitarist Michael Shanks, donning every stage in his purple Scottish Kilt and the guitar acrobatics of lead guitarist Johnny Tyler playing solos with barstools and shot glasses and throwing his guitar behind his head to wow audiences of any age.
The guys are pub rock to the core.
If you want to be entertained on Friday night after a long week, well somewhere in Australia you will always be able to find Chasing the Jeffrey cutting loose for your enjoyment.
