The eagerly awaited Festival of the Sun 2011 line-up is set for release on August 9. General tickets for the December 9-10 festival will go on sale from September 1. With the unprecedented early record sellout last year, many Port Macquarie and Hastings region locals missed their chance. However, this year organisers have announced that, from August 25 to 31 this year, a strictly limited locals presale window will be open. The six-day period will be the only opportunity for locals to purchase their tickets to FOTSUN 2011 before that of the rest of the country, and score a free extra night no car camping to boot. Presale tickets are available from the Glasshouse, Stormriders or any Saltwater Wine store. From August 1, any purchase from a participating store in Port Central will place you into the draw to win one of two double passes for FOTSUN 2011. Winners will be drawn August 24.
