This Hilarious Horticul-tural Horror revolves around Seymour. Our sweet florist clerk hero is taken in and given a job by Mr Mushnik, the owner of a rundown Florists in Skid Row, New York City.
Seymour spends his time doing menial tasks and dreaming of the sweet blonde shop assistant, Audrey.
One day, just after an eclipse of the Sun, Seymour discovers a strange and interesting plant with a rather unique appetite. All is going well until the plant begins to sing for its supper.
Seymour finally has everything he wished for but at what cost?
The Players Theatre will be presenting this fun and quirky musical from September 16 till October 9, with one of the strongest casts of actors, singers and dancers that has been seen in the local area in some time.
The show will take audiences back in time to the ’60s era with its colour, fashion, live band and fresh new talent, with all new direction by seventeen-year-old Andrew Cockroft- Penman who aims to breathe new life into the production, coupled with the expertise of Ian Castle as the production’s musical director.
Having recently made its Broadway debut and finishing a national tour of the UK, the Players Theatre offer an adventurous, all new revival of the show whilst still maintaining the comedy, drama and suspense of this classic sci-fi spoof.
