Preparations are blooming for the 27th Annual Wauchope Lasiandra Festival with a new committee bringing fresh ideas and events to fruition.
To kick-start the festival, the Rotary Club of Wauchope will host the Lasiandra Swing Supper Dance featuring the “The Black Magic Big Band” at Wauchope Showground Hall on Saturday, March 5 commencing at 7.30pm.
The dance is a fundraiser for the Wauchope District Memorial Hospital’s Pallative Care Unit.
Monday, March 7 heralds a big day at Wauchope Country Club, with the Lasiandra Triples hosted by Wauchope Women’s Bowling Club.
Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13 will see the Lasiandra Country Fair at the Wauchope Indoor Sports Stadium.
On Saturday, March 12 another new event will be presented by the Wandering Minstrels.
The Purple People Cabaret Evening will be held at the Wauchope Arts Hall in Oxley Lane.
Purple People Shopping and Market Day will be held once again on Thursday, March 17 in the Wauchope CBD.
