Diana goes off

A REGULAR chart-topper in the 1990s, Diana Anaid has stood the test of time and is still producing rave reviews.

The multiple ARIA nominee is performing at the Port Macquarie Hotel tonight.
Anaid’s music possesses what Rolling Stone described as “an emotional and sometimes primal energy”.
She kick-started her career with I Go Off, which made Triple J’s Hottest 100 in 1997. The follow-up album I Don’t Think I’m Pregnant presented more rave reviews and she again made Triple J’s annual list in 1999 with Perfect Family.
Anaid’s internationally-released Beautiful Obscene made iTunes’ Top 10 in 2004.
She has performed at the Falls Festival, Woodford, The Big Day Out, Bluesfest and special guest to Cake, The Eels and Joe Cocker, as well as Aussies Pete Murray, The Whitlams, Ash Grunwald, Dallas Fransca and Xavier Rudd.
