Music is the winner

Music is the winner when the C Grade Concert Band Champions of the East Coast of Australia and the premier community orchestra of the Mid-North Coast meet on the same platform!
Following a successful joint concert two years ago, Port Macquarie Hastings Municipal Senior Concert Band and Sinfonia Mid-North Coast Orchestra now aim for even greater music-making at the Glasshouse Theatre on Sunday, November 27, at 2pm.
Featured highlights include a trumpet section performing Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Carol Irving as soloist in Rimsky Korsakov Clarinet Concerto, Highland Cathedral with Heather McKenzie as guest Piper, Von Suppe’s Light Cavalry Overture, a Medley from The Pirates of Penzance, and Jara Stinson, 2010 James Hannah and Sinfonia Music Scholarship winner, on violin, playing Meditation from Thais.
