Big talent on show

The PMHM Band enthusiastically invites everyone to a ‘Showcase of Talent’ on Sunday, October 21, at the Uniting Church, Sherwood Road, at 2.30pm.
Whenever Port Macquarie Hastings Municipal Band presents a concert, there is always something brilliant! This ‘Showcase of Talent’ proves that point. The Units of Senior Concert Band, led by Glenn Moore, and Blue Hypothesis Big Band, led by Marc Clapton, share the stage for a dynamic two-hour performance.
In this ‘must hear’concert, the Big Band captivates with jazz numbers like Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’, the electrifying beat of ‘Golden Wedding’, Dean Martin’s mambo song ‘Sway’, the mystical sounds of ‘Caravan’, and so much more.
The Concert Band’s brass and woodwind sections feature music from the Renaissance and Romantic periods, with the bagpipes joining the Band in a haunting, stirring call, and the Band moving on from Vivaldi’s ‘Concertante’ to the exciting beat of numbers like ‘Lord of the Dance’, ‘Thriller’, ‘The Floral Dance’, and so much more.
