Port HSC students to work in Malaysia with Burmese refugees

Chin UP Leadership Program is an alternative ‘Schoolies’ adventure for young leaders. Thirteen people from four different schools in the Port Macquarie region will spend 18 days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia working with three disadvantaged communities:
1. Burmese Chin refugees (pre-Australian immigration cultural education, health education and assistance in the Chin Refugee Committee school)
2. Malaysian Aborigines (team members will build a pre-fab house with the EPIC Homes organisation)
3. Malaysian Orphans (team members will assist with cooking, study and recreational activities in a home for 100 children).
Please donate generously and attend the chin-UP charity dinner at hope cafe on November 2, 2012.
Deposit donations and money for Charity Dinner tickets in Mid Coast Care’s bank account and email John Parer (john@hopeshop.org.au) to inform us, so we may issue a receipt (all donations are tax deductible).
