THE next Music on a Market Sunday Concert at 12.30pm on 25 August in the Uniting Church will feature Cantilena, the upper primary choir from NECOM.
Conductor Rowena Tall has a wonderful touch with young performers and has brought them to a great level of performance.
Cantilena’s program will include a few Australian compositions: Inanay a traditional Torres strait island song, Silent Blue by James Madsen and Mother Earth by Harley Mead, a Spanish/Latin style piece called ‘I Cantar’, Mosquitoes by Wendy Ireland, Fields of Gold by Sting.
This is a great opportunity to hear the freshness and enthusiasm of some of our younger musicians.
Admission to the concert is free, though donations are encouraged. Tea and sausages are available at the Uniting Church before the concert.
