THE tour has been rolling since March, but Lee Kernaghan says he’s feeling fresh as he prepares to play at Port Macquarie on Saturday night.
The Australian country music legend will perform at Port Panthers, backing up from gigs in Grafton tonight and Coffs Harbour tomorrow.
“We’ve been on the road for a long time, but we’re not feeling the effects just yet,” Kernaghan said.
“Everywhere we’ve been we’ve had a great reception, so that just gives you a lift.”
Kernaghan, a winner of 28 Golden Guitar Awards since his debut album The Outback Club launched 20 years ago, has been touring the country with boom country rock band The Wolfe Brothers.
The Tasmanian trio will join Kernaghan in Port on Saturday night.
The Wolfe Brothers recently travelled to the United States where they received rave reviews.
“They are starting to be the stars of the tour,” Kernaghan said.
“Everywhere they go they are making a real impression.”
