Comedy roadshow hits Port

PREPARE yourself for an evening of laughs on Saturday night as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow returns to Port Macquarie.

The Glasshouse will play host to a big night of comedy from some of the world’s funniest comedians.
Performing in Port Macquarie this year will be the following comedians:
Bob Franklin: A Hillingdon, London-born, Welsh-raised, comedian who has lived in Australia since 1989. He has appeared in a wide range of Australian film and television shows including The Craic; Bad Eggs; Stupid, Stupid Man; Thank God You’re Here; and The Librarians.
Bev Killick: Has toured as Bosum Buddy in Busting Out! for the last four years in Australia, New Zealand and the UK and Edinburgh Festival. She is also touring with Wild Women of Comedy and doing solo stand-up shows around the nation.
Jeff Green: The award-winning British comedian has become a well-known face and voice on Australian TV and radio, appearing on Spicks and Specks, Good News Week and the Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala. He is in demand in the UK, Europe and Asia. His comedy background is impressive, including a solo West-End season and three UK TV comedy specials.
Luke McGregor: Started his stand-up comedy career in Tasmania in 2007 when he entered the raw comedy competition after one of the contestants didn’t show up.
In 2008 he was selected as a Raw Comedy national finalist and in 2013 he was awarded Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He will also be appearing in the upcoming series Time of Our Lives.
The show will be hosted by Xavier Michelides, who has taken part in five Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and three Melbourne Fringe Festivals. He has performed stand-up all over Australia, supported acts such as Steven Wright and Weird Al Yankovic and since moving to Melbourne has started making his mark in television.
There will be two shows at the Glasshouse on Saturday, starting at 6pm and 9pm.
Tickets: $40 adult, $36.50 concession, $29.50 under 21/student.
