Experience the vibe of exuberant youth choirs

Music lovers of all ages in the Port Macquarie-Hastings district will be treated to an exciting concert of choral music on Tuesday, June 12, at the Glasshouse.
‘VOICE VIBE’, presented by Hastings Choristers, is a unique combination of fresh, young talent and established voices coming together in a celebration of the joys and variety of today’s choral music.
Hastings Choristers’ Musical Director, well-known local musician and identity Robyn Ryan OAM, said, ‘‘VOICE VIBE will be an exciting evening of song, celebrating the talents of a number of local choirs, in particular our very talented young singers. The program is a kaleidoscope of choral colour with almost every musical genre represented. The evening will culminate in a massed choir presentation featuring hundreds of voices led by renowned musical director Sarah Reeve from the Hunter School of Performing Arts.” Mrs Ryan also said that Hastings Choristers are grateful for the generous support of a grant from Regional Arts NSW, through Arts Mid-North Coast, to help talented young people to develop their performing skills.
In addition to children from eight local primary and high school choirs, 45 members of the Hunter School of Performing Arts senior choir, plus our very own local ‘Blokes Notes’ and Hastings Choristers’ Cantorus, Cantabile and Ex Audi choirs will fill the program with an incredible range of choral music. The finale involving hundreds of singers will provide a memorable experience to be treasured.
Tickets are $20 adults and $10 children and are available from the Glasshouse Box Office, by phone on 6581 8888, or on-line at www.glasshouse.org.au.
