Got a spare 40 million dollars?

Apparently the Australian tax payers have it to spare. Gillard’s regime has spent at least that amount in an attempt to obtain a non-permanent seat on the Security Council of the United Nations. How a nation with an interest bill of about 5 BILLION dollars a year, on massive loans, can justify this UN waste of money, is beyond belief.
What are the benefits to Australia by being more active at the UN? Zero I would think, and it cost us a lot of money.
The five permanent members on the Security Council are: America, Britain, France, China and Russia. Each of these nations can veto any UN proposal, worthwhile or not. We can’t trust the Communist Chinese or the Russians, led by the stunt-loving Putin.
Most countries in the world have massive debts and are at the mercy of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. One cannot help thinking that the UN was set up by super rich BIG bankers to eventually become a One World Order.
There are two ways to capture a country and bring it to its knees: by military conquest or by controlling their debt.
Will the people and our politicians ever wake-up to this fact?
