Solar rebate debate

Can anyone tell me why it is that State and Federal Energy Ministers are ignoring the plight of householders with solar panels on the roof of their properties, producing large amounts of power, only to return the same to national grid at a paltry 6-8 cents per kw rebate and then are charged top prices for that same power, ie, 32 cents per kw when drawing off the grid when they are unable to produce after dusk.
Are they ignoring it or are they just too insensible to see that the system is totally unfair, not only are we being robbed but every power user is subsidising the 60 and 20 cent rebate, including those users who only receive 6-8 cents.
The following is an extract from a statement sent to me by my local state representative: “The scheme is funded by all NSW electricity consumers via a component of their electricity bills which is directed into the climate change fund”.
The statement also says that IPART has determined that retailers receive an unjustified benefit from the scheme by receiving the power generated from solar panels for FREE, so they (IPART) recommend a paltry rebate of 7.7cents kw to the cost of an unsustainable scheme.
How can it be unsus-tainable if the system is being propped up by the consumers?
Come on all you solar producers being ripped off, I need to get this unfair scheme reversed. Start writing to your Premier, Energy Minister and your local state representative, tell them to stop blaming IPART, which was set up by the government for them to hide behind when they stuff up.
