CAROLINE Springs will come alive this weekend as performers from across the country hit the streets as part of the Summersault festival.
The Sapphires, featuring popular performer Jessica Mauboy, will be the headline act this Saturday. Other performers will include Ross Wilson and the Peaceniks, belting out their classic hits and children’s entertainers The WotWots.
In addition to the main stage entertainment, visitors can jump on a ride at the carnival, enjoy free activities including kids’ workshops and facepainting, take part in the ‘Get Activated’ activities and check out the Melton Small Business Expo.
City of Melton mayor Kathy Majdlik encouraged residents to come along to the annual event.
“Summersault is a celebration of summer and our wonderful community. In 2013, we are excited to bring you a revamped and more vibrant event, with the introduction of new activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy,” Cr Majdlik said.
“There will also be amusements, community stalls and a range of activities concluding with a spectacular fireworks display.”
The festival will be held this Saturday, 23 February at Town Centre Recreation Reserve, The Parade, Caroline Springs. Summersault is an alcohol free event.
