WITH school holidays beginning yesterday, youngsters across the City of Melton are already enjoying warm sleep-ins, play dates with friends and the latest kids’ flick at the movies.
Taylors Hill schoolchildren and pre-schoolers like Talia, 11, and Xavier, 4, have been counting down to the holidays and were already getting into the swings of things late last week as they enjoyed some welcome sunshine at a local park.
And for any parent already running out of ideas on what to do during the holidays, don’t fear, because the council has a range of engaging activities on offer including balloon and Lego workshops and mini maestro programs at both the Melton and Caroline Springs libraries. The popular Get Activated program will also be held throughout the municipality and caters for children up to 12 years old and their families.
