AN upcoming exhibition will give aviation enthusiasts across Melton the chance to get up close and personal with a range of model aircraft memorabilia.
The Celebrating Aviation exhibition will be hosted by the Melton Model Aircraft Association, and will offer visitors the chance to learn about the area’s rich history and linkages to aviation.
On display will be an array of unique handmade models, like the one pictured here with association president David Axon, as well as flight simulators for visitors to try out. Members of the group will also be onsite to discuss model aircraft history. The exhibition will run from 30 August to 1 September at the Melton Visitor Information Centre, 323 High St, Melton. For further information and bookings, phone 9747 7300 or visit visitor@melton.vic.gov.au.
The group will also be hosting a hands-on experience for flying devotees on 7 and 8 September at their flying field located on Faulkners Rd. Anyone interested should contact Cliff on 9743 6834 or David on 9747 3407 or 0409 942 113. 89449 Picture KRISTIAN SCOTT
