A CAROLINE Springs entertainer will use his talents to help raise money and awareness for a foundation he holds close to his heart.
Singer and music teacher Clarence Marshall is holding a charity concert in support of the Alzheimer’s Foundation Victoria in November.
“An evening with Clarence Marshall” will be a live performance of Mr Marshall doing what he does best in honour of his father, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 65 before passing away a couple of years later.
“Every year, I’ve wanted to do something special for the Alzheimer’s Foundation,” Mr Marshall said.
“And I thought why not use my talents and skills to put on a concert where all the money raised will go the Alzheimer’s Foundation Victoria.”
Mr Marshall said he hoped to take the audience on a journey through his love of music and artists across the last four decades.
Joining him on stage will be a band of musicians and special guest performers including James Elmer, Luke Alleva and his daughters Ashleigh and Gabrielle.
Mr Marshall will also play original songs from his album ‘The Real Me’.
“I want to give back, and I couldn’t think of a better foundation,” Mr Marshall said.
“I’m hoping to raise awareness of the Alzheimer’s foundation and let people know they are there and I’m supporting them, and people can also support them,” he said.
Mr Marshall hoped to raise $6000 for the foundation through ticket sales and sales on the night.
The concert will be held at The Crate Theatre in Sydenham.
