POLICE officers from the Armed Crime Taskforce have charged a man who allegedly shot another male in St Albans last Wednesday.
At around 5.50pm, a 52-year-old Deer Park man received a wound to his leg during the shooting which took place on Main Road East.
Shortly afterwards, Armed Crime Taskforce detectives charged a 61-year-old St Albans resident with intentionally causing serious injury, conduct endangering life and firearms offences.
The man appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.
