SEABROOK local and former Keilor Basketball Association player Dante Exum is officially on his way to the big time.
Exum confirmed last week he will nominate for the 2014 NBA draft, bypassing the American College Basketball system.
The 18-year-old has also signed with American sports agent Rob Pelinka of Landmark Sports.
Pelinka’s other clients include NBA great Kobe Bryant and James Harden of the Houston Rockets.
In a statement made to ESPN, Exum and his parents, Cecil and Desiree said: “We are excited to be working with Landmark Sports. Our family felt The Landmark Team represented our style and manner of treating people, and in doing businesses. We also all shared a common commitment to achieving excellence in all things. The fit is just great and we are really pleased to now begin the work.”
Exum has been training at the AIS in Canberra for the last few years and is seen as a possible top-five draft choice.
