GOT any unwanted chemical sitting around the house?
Maribyrnong City Council is calling on residents to clean up their act by hosting a Detox Your Home day on 18 February from 8am to 4pm.
Residents can dispose their unwanted household chemicals in an environmentally responsible way at the Maribyrnong City Council offices for free.
The council will accept a range of household, garden and car chemicals, as well as paint strippers, solvent-based glues and acetone.
They will not accept containers over 20 litres or 20 kilograms, farm chemicals, waste asbestos and chemicals used by businesses.
