TRISTAN Enright is set to
become the most popular bloke on the block after a limited
edition VB vending machine
was delivered to his house last week.
The 24-year-old Yarraville resident was one of the first beer drinkers across Australia to take part in the brand’s Best Cold Beer promotion, buying 12 slabs of VB to score one of the fridges.
“A mate and I both stayed up until midnight and locked us both in… I think we were among the first three (to get a machine),” he said.
“The fridge is here, and I’ve still got a bunch of slabs to chuck in it.”
When Mr Enright spoke with Star last week, he was still unsure where he would place the vending machine, which stands at 1.2 metres and holds 48 stubbies at a time.
He admitted the vending machine was at odds with his career choice of personal trainer.
“Obviously, if you’re training to be a superstar athlete, you’re going to have to be pretty strict about it, but fitness is part of my work life and VB is part of my social life, so I’m quite comfortable with it.”
Craig MacLean from VB said the 3000 vending machines on offer had been snapped up within three weeks, prompting the business to extend the promotion and give one away every hour until 20 January.
