THE woman behind the community plan for the future of Brimbank City Council, Kath Brackett, has been awarded a leadership grant in recognition of her hard work.
Mrs Brackett is the community planning co-ordinator for the council, which has included planning for Brimbank’s diverse community.
The Leadership Awards for Local Government recognise the work of local councils.
Mrs Brackett was recognised for her ability to engage with her colleagues as well as her community.
The community plan includes ways for the council to engage with community members, as well as a plan to increase the amount of local volunteers.
