THIEVES attempted to break into several vehicles parked in an Albion street on Sunday 10 October.
During the early hours of the morning, nine cars parked out the front of a Ridley St block of flats had their door-locks damaged as a result of attempted entry.
Police said it appeared the thieves used a panelbeater’s tool, adapted to pull locks out of a vehicle, to force entry to the cars.
The offenders managed to break into three of the cars, from which they stole property.
They stole cash, roller-blades and a petrol-injector cleaner from two vehicles but did not steal anything from the third car.
“Police are investigating and are hopeful the matter will be resolved in the very near future,” Senior Sergeant Fred Grove from Sunshine Police Station said.
