BRIMBANK residents are being called to nominate a worthy individual, community or interest group they would like acknowledged for their work in the community as part of the council’s 2011 Australia Day Awards.
The nominations being taken fall under six categories including citizen of the year and young citizen of the year.
The awards are open to individuals who reside in the area as well as groups who conduct their activities within the Brimbank Local Government area.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from the council’s website at www.brimbank.vic.gov.au or can be obtained from one of the council’s customer service centres.
Nominations should be submitted to The Arts and Culture unit, Hunt Club Community Arts Centre, 775 Ballarat Rd, Deer Park 3023 and close at 5pm on Wednesday 12 January.
