DETECTIVES are investigating a fire which ripped through a St Albans house.
Firefighters were called to the Main Rd West property on 8 January after smoke was seen billowing from the building.
After surveying the property, fire investigators deemed the fire to be suspicious and notified police.
Detectives had previously executed a drug warrant on the home where quantities of cannabis were removed.
The home had been unoccupied for some time.
An arson chemist examined the scene.
