That’s why she spends hours instructing enthusiastic Brimbank residents how to slide across the dance floor to the most infectious Latin beats.
“Dancing is about expressing yourself,” the Moonee Ponds resident said.
“I love music and love moving to music. It’s my passion.”
Ms Frois, who born in Malaysia but has a Portuguese background, said dancing was in her blood, and she had danced for most of her life.
“Learning to dance is like learning to walk when you’re young.”
And she urged community members to break out of their shell and take up dancing at the Delahey Community Centre.
“I encourage everyone who has some spare time to take it up. Anyone can do it.
“It’s about social interaction. I have built up a friendship group and we go out every Friday and Sunday night dancing.”
She said it was particularly important for retirees to take up a hobby and dancing was perfect as it not only improved a person’s physical wellbeing but also kept their minds active.
While her passion is Latin dancing, the super fit grandmother said new vogue had become popular in the dancing world. Described as old English style dancing with a modern twist, she said it required a lot of imagination but kept her, literally, on her toes.
New ballroom dancing classes start next month at the Delahey Community Centre. Anyone interested should call 9307 0358 for more information.
