Arrest after chase through streets of Sunshine

Police were called to Ford St shortly before 1am after receiving reports of a suspicious van.
The van, which had been reported stolen, had four men inside.
Police followed and attempted to intercept the van as it was driven south along McIntyre Rd.
But the men refused to pull over, leading police on a chase into Anderson St and then into Collenso St, where the men jumped from the moving car.
Officers from the dog squad pursued the men on foot, arresting the 18-year-old Laverton man.
Police remain on the hunt for the other three men.
The Ford van was reported stolen from Laverton between 5 and 6 February.
Meanwhile, Police are on the hunt for a callous hit and run driver who mowed down a motorcyclist and left him for dead.
Police say the motorcyclist was travelling west bound on the Melton Highway at Sydenham shortly after 5am yesterday when a silver AU Ford Falcon Utility pulled out in front of traffic, colliding with him.
The heartless driver fled the scene, leaving the motorbike rider lying injured on the road.
The driver was last seen driving south along Sydenham Rd.
Anyone with information about either of these incidents is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
