THE grass skirts, like Fatima’s, above, will be swaying and the hips shaking when Sunshine residents get their groove on. Residents are being invited to celebrate the diverse cultures of their suburb as part of Sunshine’s 150th celebrations. The council has organised a family day with activities and workshops to allow the community tosample different cultures. Highlights include haka and huladancing classes, Maori face painting and food and toy workshops. The event will be held at the Kevin Wheelahan Gardens onDevonshire Rd, Sunshine, on Sunday 20 February between 10am and 4pm.
