Vehicles travelling north through Sunshine on the night of Sunday 20 February can expect delays and detours as the Ring Rd will be closed between the Western Highway and Sunshine Ave from 9pm to 5am.
VicRoads M80 upgrade project director Sebastian Motta said drivers should plan their journey in advance.
Mr Motta said the closure would mean changed traffic conditions and detours, which had been designed to cater for all vehicles.
Detours are:
From 9pm Sunday 20 February to 5am Monday 21 February – M80 Ring Rd closed from the Western Highway entry ramp to the Sunshine Ave exit ramp.
Greensborough bound; drivers on the M80 and those heading towards the city on Ballarat Rd wishing to join the M80 Greensborough bound will be detoured left onto McIntyre Rd to enter the M80 at Sunshine Ave.
Drivers heading west on Ballarat Rd wishing to join the M80 Greensborough bound will be detoured right onto McIntyre Rd to enter M80 at Sunshine Ave.
