MELTON Shire residents are being encouraged to enjoy the new facilities at the Kororoit Community Hub in Burnside Heights.
The precinct includes a primary school, maternal and child health services, kindergarten, long day care, community space, office space for professional services, a pool and an oval and a hard court.
Mayor Justin Mammarella said the council is extremely proud of the new facility.
“This is another example of our successful joint-use partnership approach for delivering timely infrastructure and services to our fast growing community,” Cr Mammarella said.
Over the last three years, numbers for four-year-old kindergarten placements have increased by almost 13 per cent.
“Council is planning and working towards universal access – 15 hours of Kindergarten to four year old children by 2013.”
