A WOMAN was injured during a daring daylight bag snatching in Sunshine this month.
At around 10:30am on 14 March the 62-year-old was walking down Service St loaded with shopping bags when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male.
The man attempted to wrest the bags from his victim but she resisted.
During the struggle, the woman fell backwards onto the ground, hitting her head on the footpath.
The thief stole her gym bag and fled.
Paramedics were called to the scene where they treated the woman for facial grazes and injuries to her upper body.
She was taken to Sunshine Hospital.
Detectives from Sunshine’s Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating and are calling on witnesses to come forward.
