Police seize 1200 plants

POLICE seized 1200 cannabis plants worth more than $3 million in multiple raids in Bacchus Marsh and Darley last week.
Police executed warrants at two homes in Bacchus Marsh and four Darley houses on Tuesday and Wednesday, confiscating the plants and charging five people.
Two men, aged 23 and 40, and a 20-year-old woman, all from Sunshine, and a 54-year-old St Albans woman appeared in the Ballarat Magistrates’ Court last week.
A 35-year-old St Albans man is expected to be charged on summons at a later date.
Each of the five are facing charges of trafficking, cultivating and possessing a large commercial quantity of cannabis.
Police investigations are continuing.
