KEILOR Downs Police are investigating a spate of joyride thefts involving Nissan Skylines.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tim O’Connor said there had been a number of thefts involving the notoriously fast cars in Keilor Downs in the past month.
He said while it seemed the thefts had decreased in the last few weeks, there was an incident in which a police vehicle was involved in a collision with a skyline after a high speed chase.
“It seems to have died down,” Det Sen Sgt O’Connor said.
“Why they are targeting those cars we don’t know.
“We are following a number of leads.”
