SEVEN-year-old Kiwi bred In The Pocket/Timely Boyden greeted the judge in the SEW-Eurodrive Pacers Handicap at Kilmore on 14 June for Monegeetta co-trainers Lisa and David Miles. Driven by Lisa, Pocket Boy began safely from inside the 10-metre mark, only to become buried three back by the markers for most of the 2150-metre journey of the C4 or better event. Extricated into the clear to be three wide on the final bend, Pocket Boy raced away in the home running to score by 6.4m in advance of the heavily supported Camivell Rock (one/one – outside leader Myrniong Panorama home turn) in 2-04.4, with Shezacullendargirl third after trailing the front runner and pulling wide on straightening.

BOLINDA trainer/driver Chris Alford’s Modern Art/Baulkamaugh Sunset filly Mystic Sunset landed the Cool Rooms Galore three-year-old Pacers Handicap over 2150m at Kilmore in a relative slow rate of 2-06.9. Leading out from barrier two, Alford eased to allow Jefferson City to assume control from the 10-metre mark, with Mystic Sunset enjoying the run of the race. Taken away from the markers on the home turn, Mystic Sunset proved a little too strong on the post for Jefferson City, with Yamunindi using the sprint lane from three back to the markers for third.
