IN his day The Seekers’ Athol Guy entranced thousands of people but recently he entertained a slightly smaller crowd. The musician visited terminally ill patients at Sunshine Hospital in late June to reminisce about his days in the famous pop band. Mr Guy showed patients from the hospital’s hospice a video of one of his concerts from the 1960s. A Western Health spokesman said the visit had delighted staff and patients, many of whom were fans of the group. “While the visit was brief, it put a smile to many of our older patients and for that Western Health sends a large thank you to Athol for donating his time,” the spokesman said. 66601
