Handbag snatch at bank branch

A WOMAN was taken to hospital following a brazen attempted handbag snatch attack in Sunshine last week.
At around 10.25am on Wednesday the 52-year-old woman was walking away from a bank branch in Sunshine Plaza when she was attacked by a man who tried to grab her handbag.
When she resisted, the man flung her to the ground and attempted to wrestle the bag away from her.
Police say the robber had a female accomplice who shouted abuse at bystanders during the incident.
The couple were unable to seize the bag and fled through the shopping centre and through a loading bay.
The robbers were wearing hoodies at the time of the robbery.
Paramedics were called to the scene and the woman was treated at Sunshine Hospital for brusing and swelling to her head.
