A CAROLINE Springs teenager will be the envy of all her classmates when she travels across the globe in a song and dance extravaganza.
Gemma Tuddenham was one of a select few youngsters chosen to tour America as part of the Glee Club.
With the television show a world-wide phenomenon, talented performers from across Victoria auditioned to be part of the group, which will perform at Disneyland and Universal Studios later this year.
The ’80s themed show will include classic hits like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, will showcase over 50 of the nation’s most talented performers.
“It’s really exciting,” the Year 8 student said.
“It’s hard to juggle dancing, singing and rehearsing with school work, but I’m very passionate about it.
“My friends were all screaming when they found out.
“I’m so thankful I’m going to be able to experience this.”
So dedicated is she to her craft that Gemma has dancing lessons three times a week and trains in jazz, ballet and contemporary.
“There’s a lot of rigorous training, but it’s worth it.”
The group will go on tour in December.
