Hope renewed

– Natalie Gallenti
THE Brimbank community has raised almost $10,000 for the St Albans Chol family, less than a month after the horrific death of Ayen Chol.
Residents, schools, universities, police, MFB, council and City West Water were among various community groups and organisations to host fundraising events across the city in the past three weeks.
A trivia night initiated by City West Water last week raised $7000 alone and hosted 250 participants.
Senior Constable Jo Byrne from Keilor Downs Proactive Unit said all money raised would go directly to the family, who had also lost their home and all their possessions only months ago. Victoria University Liberal Arts Club also raised more than $2000 after hosting sausage sizzles and raffles last month.
